It strikes a good balance between the flavors of agave, oak, and caramel, resulting in a smooth and enjoyable drink with no harshness or unpleasant aftertaste. Añejo Tequila is a blend made from 100% blue agave and aged over a period of at least one year in small oak barrels. In our view, Jose Cuervo have produced the very best aged Tequila currently available, and we recommend this product. This is a smooth Tequila, delivered in a large, test tube-style bottle. I like that I can really see the contents of the bottle, and that it isn’t obscured or masked by a giant label. Especially with something this dark and beautiful (artificial coloring notwithstanding), being able to see the spirit through the glass is something I appreciate.
